Trend Survey: Fair Transition towards Climate Neutrality

Dear Participant,

Thank you for completing this trend survey. Your expertise will help shape the Strategic Research and Innovation Agenda (SRIA) for the new European Partnership on Social Transformations and Resilience (STR), ensuring that it addresses the most pressing trends and challenges.

One key impact area for the STR Partnership and the focus of this survey is “Contributing to a Fair Transition towards Climate Neutrality”. By collecting and analysing relevant trends, we aim to ensure that the SRIA is forward-looking and well prepared to tackle emerging opportunities and challenges in this area.

Purpose of the Survey:

The survey aims to

  1. Review and validate key trends shaping the future of Fair Transition towards Climate Neutrality
  2. Assess the trends’ impact on the future, and
  3. Identify any missing trends we might have overlooked.

How the Survey Works:

We invite you to review 24 trends across four thematic areas and assess their impact on the future of a Fair Transition to Climate Neutrality:

  1. Governance, Public Participation and Trust (incl. 6 trends)
  2. Social Protection, Households and Vulnerabilities (incl. 6 trends)
  3. Work, Industry & Economic Transformation (incl. 6 trends)
  4. Infrastructure, Territories & Systemic Interdependencies (incl. 6 trends)

After rating the trends in each area, you have the chance to elaborate on the trends by sharing potential implications or additional insights/nuances. The trends have been identified through extensive desk-research in preparation for the survey*.

The survey takes approximately 10–25 minutes to complete, depending on how many trends you choose to comment on.

What to Expect:

  • Most questions involve simple ratings or short comments.
  • You are not expected to answer all sections. If a section is not relevant to you, simply select 'I dont know' in the mandatory ranking questions to proceed.
  • The data you provide will be used to identify trends and will remain strictly anonymous. If you choose to answer the questions about geography, sector and gender at the end, we would appreciate it. Your answers are voluntary, but they would help us to estimate whether we have achieved fair coverage. All data will be anonymised: Further Information about Data Protection

Please use the 'Next' and 'Previous' buttons within the survey to navigate between pages. Using our browser's back button may cause errors or data loss.

Thank you for your time and expertise – your input is essential to shaping a robust and future-oriented SRIA!
